It was a original experience watching this film unfold, and before I gave it a second viewing with the commentary (in which they stated numerous times how they wanted this film to be like no other high school film prior) I was already feeling like I had impartial watched a very different kind of teen film. But really advantageous.

The theme was best described on the camouflage art with “Rushmore meets Usual Suspects”. The epic follows these twenty-somethings playing teens as they traverse their existence at a private high school. Bruce Willis plays excellently his over-the-top self as the militaristic considerable. Mischa Barton fills the role as the hot girl on campus, but she did mighty better overall in Closing the Ring than here. Regardless of the props and older looking feel, this actually takes status in point to day, but kudos to the crew in making a teen film exist without unusual appliances (cells, unique computers, etc.) . Some outstanding supporting performances from Michael Rapaport and Josh Pais compliment some solid writing and storytelling. But mostly, this will benefit bring Reece Thompson’s name to the spotlight as he gave a very believable performance carrying the central character (nerd turns favorite turns scapegoat turns becoming a man) .
The supplements are somewhat thorough and center on scenes, but no documentaries. Includes:
* 5:40 minutes of alternate opening scenes. For what the ruin result was, I am overjoyed they chop these as they both revealed too noteworthy information about what would become the residence twists later.
Buy,Download, Or Stream Assassination of a High School President! Click Here
* 20:35 minutes of extended and alternate scenes. The account lines they removed actually execute it a better film with more engaging twists, but it was composed nice to leer what they had filmed originally.
* 6:45 minutes of deleted scenes, decent but forgettable.
* Commentary by the writers and director (some of the previous features listed have an optional commentary also) . They had a spacious time making the commentary, and since there is no making-of it was the only procedure to hear how everything came to be. I had to wait 23 minutes into it to hear why the film looks like it could recall plot in the 80s but wasn’t. All of the anecdotes and humor late the scenes do the listen worthwhile – it definitely had customers paying attention to what was playing with some of their rogue dialogue.
Four stars for the film, one for the supplements. Not a mainstream high school film by any means, honest a solid independent attempt at creating a surreal world of this private high school.
Although a considerable break at the 2008 Sundance Film Festival, this film did not relish a ragged theatrical release due the its distributor, The Yari Film Group, filing for bankruptcy. Given all the CGI as a replacement for a decent screenplay garbage that Hollywood does manage to shove into theaters, one almost feels the pang of some cosmic injustice on behalf of film’s creative team and performers. Fortunately, Assassination of a High School President has garnered enough of a following to prevent it from slipping through the cracks.
What impressed me most was the screenplay! And what impressed me most about the screenplay were the character arcs of the leading actor and actress, Reece Daniel Thompson and Mischa Barton. The broken-down writes for the school newspaper, doesn’t fit into any of the many social cliques surrounding him, and whose greatest strength, an unyeilding sense of ambition, becomes his greatest weakness. In addition to her beauty, the latter is also smart, poised, and real. She knows well the stature she holds and what that stature can avail her, but she doesn’t seem all that keen in exploiting it.
In order to distinguish himself from the other members of the school paper Bobby Funke must become more than a speed of the mill reporter, he must become an investigative journalist. At first, fair to distinguish himself for a shot at a summer journalism scholarship, but, later, to distinct the name of someone he has personally indicted with his writing. While the slack John Hughes made youth-focused films that connected with a young audience in very specific ways, this film is a satire in every moment of its existence. The indispensable in Ferris Bueller’s Day Off was courageous to the point of unwarranted silliness, but here Bruce Willis portrays a potent and considerable important of this private Catholic school. One would probably laugh AT the stale, but we laugh with the latter and do so impartial a itsy-bitsy bit nervously. While Bruce Willis was the catalyst to obtain me to view at this film in the first set, his role is strictly supportive. It is a testament to his skills as an actor to maximize all the itsy-bitsy opportunities for both spoken and physical comedy that indicate themselves without upstaging the storyline or the cast he is supporting.
If I have one complaint, it would be that there wasn’t a single dismal and white scene in the film. Everytime Funke holds his stick of chewing gum like Sam Spade would absorb a cigarette before taking a puff the film honest screams noir. The timelessness of the set-dressing and wardrobe are all there, but I honest wish there could have been one dark and white scene somewhere as an homage to archaic film noir.
Of the bonus features, the most mighty would be the running commentary. I normally have mixed feelings about most deleted scenes, but here there are a couple of scenes that were a proper sacrifice to have to leave on the cutting room floor (this is especially fair for anyone familiar with even a rudimentary amount of Spanish) . A making of featurette would have been nice, but, given all the financial challenges this project eventually met with, I’m impartial pleased it has managed to seek the light of day.
I don’t normally write reviews of movies since there are plenty who already do so and do so well, but Assassination of a High School President has encountered more than it’s pleasing part obstacles and setbacks. If you’re looking for a stark departure from the cookie-cutter formula of most high school films, then this is the heed.

Porsche 968
October 7th, 2010Porsche 968 is basically the successor of the Porsche 944.It includes a low nose and wide wheel arches that helps accentuating the beautiful lines of this classic shape that in a Porsche Guards Red is often a real head turner. It has also the classic GT front motor, rear wheel drive layout while using the additional advantage of a rear transaxle giving virtually best weight distribution.
Instead of the hidden headlights with the 944, the 968 has visible pop up headlights, similar for the Porsche 928. Honda center caps This brings the look with the car or truck in line while using the new Porsche 997-911. This change has also a practical benefit: the headlights might be washeda long while using rest from the car or truck instead of having to pop them up towash them.
As to the interior, it remains the same as produced in the 944, keeping the famous ‘oval dash’. The designers applied the same robust materials which have given all Porsche owners a lot of years of trouble free motoring.
The exterior includes a few differences: the door mirrors have been streamlined using the tear drop effect as well as the wheels have 5 spoke Cup pattern alloys. The rear bumper is much more blended and with integral rear light clusters, making it virtually indistinguishable in the physique perform. All these physique function changes made the 968 look a great deal like the 928, and extra the motor heritage, some people have referred to it as ‘the daughter of 928′.
The motor is really a version with the one 1st employed on the 944 S2: it can be a4 cylinder, 3 liter, 16 valve unit. And they extra VarioCam for optimum power throughout the speed range. It has 240 HPat 6200 rpm and a torque of 305 Nm at 4100 rpm, given by the improved combustion chamber and inlet manifold pattern. At the time of production, it was a remarkable motor, having the highest displacement per cylinder of any vehicle motor and also the highest torque output of any unblown 3 liter motor. Clearly, the result of Porsches investment in this engine paid off.
The rear-mounted gearbox is often a 6-speed manual or 4 speed tiptronic. It can be the very first ever mounted on a production auto. The chassis has pretty much perfect weight distribution and very stiff characteristics.
Usually, most cars start to fail when it comes to breaks plus the reason is that it doesn’t matter how fast the auto is in a straight line if you can’t take a bend (turn) at the proper safe speed. But Porsche brakes have usually been the envy of most road sports vehicle manufacturers. You will notice little or no or no discernable fatigue even under harsh use of Porsche 968. ABS adds even more safety for the already excellent braking system. Also, what makes the brakes so efficient is that the wheels themselves are designed to prevent the tire from coming off the rim inside the event of the sudden pressure loss.

The close-ups are abundant, pity that all 3 have left us too soon.
Luminous personalities – colossal cloak beauties –
Dassin/Duras at their best!
I’ve been a trusty admirer of Dassin’s work– and Melina Mercouri is a force of nature, irresistable. But this movie fails at every level– as fable it makes no sense. And Mercouri crosses that shapely line into being a Grotesque, a camp parody of herself. Many of Mercouri’s lines are indistinguishable, even played over a high-end system. It’s as tho’ half the script was never shot and the film they had on hand was posthaste thrown together into a “movie”. So noteworthy talent alive to here. A titanic disappointment.
When oh when will they release the DVD of “Phaedra”–the crowning achievement in the Dassin/Mercouri output? RR in Tucson

All I can say is WOW. I’d heard about this film when it was on the independent film festival circuit and couldn’t wait to peer it – especially after enjoying Morgan Spurlock’s film ‘Super Size Me’ so distinguished. If you assume tv’s reality expose ‘The Biggest Loser’ is noble inspiration for getting healthier and in shape, than this mosey will really knock your socks off! A handful of ‘real’ people are introduced to a whole modern map to reach and improve their health – and we accumulate to go along for the glide! It’s so mighty fun, and titillating too – “reality” media at it’s best. It’s incredibly attractive to spy these folks lose weight, lower their blood sugar levels naturally and develop some titanic friendships while learning that you don’t need to be at the mercy of insulin for the rest of your life. If you work in the field of “health care” (as I do) you have a responsibility to offer options like this to your patients and clients. And if you know anyone with diabetes – and chances are, with the prevalence of this disease being what it is, that you do – you and they fair shouldn’t miss out. This could change your life and your health, or that of someone you treasure.
This is an absolutely Amazingly power DVD! I bought the entire DVD plot $49, it comes with a couple other DVD’s with more info, receipes, websites, followups, etc… I have shown it to dozens of people! I personally do the Hallelujah Diet and Lifestyle for the past almost 4 yrs and as of 2009, I eat 100% Raw living foods, I am in honorable health, with no issues, although I broken-down to have arthritis (The reason I changed my diet at age 41) I am now 45 and I have no arthritis! I Treasure this DVD, RAW food is astounding and if you learn from others you can effect all kinds of ample tasting raw foods, I have learned for every food I have loved, from pizza, tacos and Cheeseburgers and chips, I have created a replacement that tastes better and is powerful more nutritous for me. The Standard American Diet (Dark) diet is killing us in American. I personally have a friend who adopted the HA diet and in less than 30 days he was down from 4 shots to one shot a day of insulin. He quiet ate too powerful cooked foods, but had he went 100% raw he would have been Free from Diabetes. Discover this DVD, it is an Well-behaved staunch movie-like DVD. I have watched it many times. Based on the stories of Sholom Aleichem, the movie version of Fiddler on the Roof features Topol as Tevye the Milkman, a abominable Jewish husband and father living in pre-revolutionary Russia. His yarn is inevitably tragic, but amusing and touching along the diagram.
The movie is filled with asides from Tevye, as he reveals his thoughts to the camera. He is forever quoting “the pleasant book,” sometimes correctly, sometimes not so correctly.
As was tradition during this time, the matchmaker sets up all marriages. Tevye’s daughters aren’t too tickled about this (as is shown through the eminent song, Matchmaker, Matchmaker), and the older three eventually status up their enjoy marriages.

Tzeitel, the oldest, falls in worship with Motel, the awful tailor, and they ask Tevye’s permission to marry. He finally relents and they have a marvelous Jewish wedding. Hodel falls in appreciate with a revolutionary who has been staying with Tevye and Golde and their family. She leaves her family to follow him in the heartbreaking song, “Far From the Home I Fancy.” Chava, the pretty middle daughter, falls in treasure with Fyedka, a Russian. Tevye forbids this marriage, for he cannot turn from his faith. Chava chooses like over family as shown through ballet, and Tevye has no choice but to count her as dull.
Tevye’s sage ends as the Jewish community is forced from Anatevka. Even in this hard time, Tevye is faithful that everything will turn out all moral in the demolish.
The music in this movie is absolutely fine. You’ll tap your feet to “If I Were a Rich Man,” and “Miracle of Miracles.” You’ll glean tears in your eyes during “Sunrise, Sunset,” and “Far From the Home I Worship.” You’ll laugh at Yente and during the dance at the bar.

This is a movie that belongs in everyone’s movie collection. It is a sage that will last forever.
The Film:
Fiddler on the Roof is based on the tales of Russian Jewish life written by Shalom Alechem in the 1800s, with music scored by John Williams. Directed by Norman Jewison, it’s widely acknowledged to be one of the best musicals ever made. Tevye, played by the eminent jewish actor Topol, lives in the enclave of Anatevka with his wife and _6_ daughters. Insulated & protected by their Orthodox traditions, Tevye must face, with a poignant combination of humor, sorrow and acceptance, the marriage of his three eldest daughters in a series of increasingly unacceptable unions. How far can tradition be hooked and smooth occupy the center of his family and his community’s existence? Do we location tradition over family? Oswald Morris’ splendid cinematography and Jewison’s compelling film-making pursue these questions both for the residents of Anatevka and for us in our ever-changing worlds.
The DVD:
A marvel, this film has never looked or sounded better for home viewing – a remixed Dolby 5.1 soundtrack and crystal-clear narrate on a double-layer disc obtain this a contribution to your film library you’ll not regret. Jewison & Topol’s commmentary give you some ideas late the making of the film, what the director was trying to attain, and how Topol moved his character from stage to cover. Director’s burly expend of the 70mm aspect ratio demands the anamorphic widescreen format former in this printing.

If I were living like any of the people of the Tokyo slums in Akira Kurosawa’s first colour film, Dodes’ka-den, like them, I’d be living in illusion and imagination to counter the squalid conditions. Living for them, but in my case, it’d be drowning. That’s the premise of this movie, a testament to the human spirit and how it keeps on going despite adversity.
There’s no area in this film, as it tells of the various people living in the slums, some in coloured tin corrugated roofs, others in dirty, dingy travesties of huts, and in the case of an oddball boy who pretends he’s a streetcar conductor and spends all day shuffling to who knows where. He goes through the motions, putting on his cap, pushing the buttons, pulling levers, and muttering the words “Dodes’ka-den.” Which leads to the title. It’s a Japanese onomatopoeia for the sound a squawk makes on the tracks. Roughly translated, it’s like clackety-clack. The smaller kids who gape him throw pebbles at him and yowl out “trolley crazy.”
My favourite characters are the bedraggled derelict and his young son who live in a beaten up, wheelless VW bug. The son goes out at night and gets scraps from a salubrious sushi shop man. During the day, the father discusses their dream house, and we explore his designs, from the gate, fence, and house, approach alive, with dramatic sounds and colour. He must have been an architect or designer, and he escapes his squalid condition by envisioning a dreamhouse. There’s a sparkling example of colour cinematography at work, when standing under glaring yellow sky, we eye the eerie blue light cast on him and his son, ill from food poisoning.

The drunken buddies who swap wives are two of the most colourful, but there’s an engrossing theme. Both couples are colour coordinated, clothes, house, even wash basins. And at times, they swap wives. The yellow husband is so drunk, he stays at his buddy’s red house and with his wife, while his buddy goes to his house. Wonder how many bottles of sake they drink after work. But the wifeswapping has dual meaning, an run from the ordinary, but also a lack of symmetry that is restored when both yellow-coded husband and wife are reunited and the same with the red-coded couple.
Then there’s Tamba, the druggist, a man in his seventies or early eighties who’s a wise, epic, and compassionate character. The method he defuses a violent sword-wielding drunk is unbelievable! I won’t net into specifics but he shames the drunk into going to bed. He also helps a man wanting to commit suicide a reason to go on living. He seems to narrate the face of an older and uncomplicated Japan, experienced by the past, living as he can in the explain.
Hei is the most haunting, and his eyes are that of a insensible man. He never says a word in the movie, and it’s sure that he has been deeply traumatized by something in his past, which we learn later. It’s as if his soul has been drained. A character looks at a tree and wonders what kind of tree it is, before saying “it’s no longer a tree when it’s expressionless.” Substitute man for tree and we glean Hei. Oh, and me as well.

Shima is a salaryman who’s nice enough, but he has a comic saunter nearly like the Monty Python’s Ministry of Funny Walks man and a facial tic that drives him into a brief fit, complete with snorting. The tic represents that there’s more to a person than a mere flaw.
Some of the info we derive from the gossiping circle of women who employ the day doing the laundry in the slum square, including a sensuous long-haired woman who seems to know it all, and witnessing the parade of life.
This was Kurosawa’s first of seven colour films and its failure culminated in him attempting suicide. Understandable, as despite its being panned, it’s actually a sober, at times depressing, but ultimately hopeful peer at people. Very underrated film that’s deeply in need of reappraisal.
Kurosawa’s first color film originally came in at 244 minutes and the studio executives were aghast. They quick chop it to about 140 minutes and reportedly destroyed the current negative in so doing. This along with the lack of public and distinguished acceptance at the time drove the tremendous genius to a suicide attempt. In it’s fresh do it could well have been Kurosawa’s tremendous masterpiece. As it is, it’s a diminutive quixotic and hard to follow, but a elegant portion of movie making. The children’s screech drawings shown during the prayer scenes were smooth by Kurosawa from children all over Japan for this film. It is pointless to recap the record, but I unbiased say to you peep it and you’ll never forget it. Perhaps Criterion could secure the orignal version when it comes out on DVD, let’s hope so!

I contemplate and savor a movie like this cause it’s fun and keen, that’s it!
Okay, I know this is going to be a highly disputed plan, but I deem this movie is very, very estimable. Large, I’d even daresay. And I am a Godzilla fan. I esteem the Large Guy from his early masterworks to his campy mid-period to his novel thrilling outings.

Admittedly, this is not the same Godzilla. But Godzilla himself is a product of the 50s fascination with giant monsters, and this movie is really honest an homage to all those mature, expansive monster movies. Anyway, I don’t recognize why the universe isn’t immense enough for two Godzillas.
A lot of fans hated this honest for the view. But Tristar had to construct a current version. The old-fashioned version would’ve flopped in America. In fact, Godzilla 2000 came out about a year later, and it did dreadful. So where were those so-called fans when he really needed them? I submit that there really aren’t that many Godzilla fans. There’s plenty of people who claim to be, but do they really like him or these types of films? Doesn’t seem like it.
Buy,Download, Or Stream Godzilla! Click Here
Onto the movie. First there’s Godzilla. He’s a terrific special attain. Some people say he doesn’t examine loyal. He looks lovely darn impressive to me. Realism is a rather droll complaint when you’re talking about a giant lizard running through Unusual York.
The epic is deceptively simple. You could boil it down to Army vs. Monster, but there’s a creativity here that gets overlooked. The characters (all of whom are well-developed especially considering none are the steady star) are all likable. Their motivations are believable. And their memoir arcs are solidly connected to the central conflict in a contrivance that doesn’t seem forced.
The action sequences are astounding. I like to assume of them as ghastly versions of sizable kung fu showdowns. Godzilla isn’t invulnerable in this film, and so when he fights helicopters, rockets, and submarines, I actually felt suspense, even though I knew he wasn’t going down until the slay of the movie.
The dwelling of Godzilla’s young gives a nice excuse for some human-scaled action. The pacing is expertly handled. At two hours, there’s unexcited a lot crammed in here. The acting is superior. Jean Reno’s French military agent is beautifully understated. And the final destroy of Godzilla is both tragic and satisfying.
I don’t savor the last exiguous bit, but to me it’s not so powerful an advertisement for a sequel as a wink to those “THE Ruin? ” titles at the waste of those colossal ragged movies.
Boy, this is a long review. I guess I’m honest trying to acquire a case for this underrated and much-maligned film. Personally, I believe the modern Colossal Guy would savor it. Although I’m definite his version would waste a petite different.

The series was one of the best and most beloved Classic TV comedies from the 1960′s. Roar!Factory is continuing its string of tremendous Classic TV releases (including Father Knows Best, My Three Sons and The Donna Reed Expose) by presenting the complete first season of this iconic series on DVD for the first time.
The Patty Duke Point To aired on ABC beginning Sept. 18, 1963. It lasted 105 episodes spanning three seasons – all in gorgeous dusky and white!

One year before, Ms. Duke had won an Academy Award® for her portrayal of the blind, deaf and still Helen Keller in The Miracle Worker (at the time, she was the youngest person to have won an Oscar for Best Supporting Actress) . As a result, she was chosen for her hold self-titled vehicle, which featured her in not one, but two prominent roles.
The series followed Patty Lane (Ms. Duke), a `normal’ 60′s teenager living in the Brooklyn Heights portion of Recent York City, who loves boys, ice cream, and sleep-overs. Her father is the managing editor of the Fresh York Fable. In the unaired Pilot, her “identical cousin” Cathy Lane (also portrayed by Duke), whose father also works for the Story as a foreign correspondent, arrives in the U.S. from Scotland to live with Patty’s family and abet secondary school.
The series was extremely celebrated with both teens and their parents, turning Ms. Duke into an early teenaged idol.
As an adult, Ms. Duke has documented her long struggle with mental illness. The sparkling star sadly disclosed that she also suffered abuse during the years this series was produced. As a result, there is a satisfactory darkness beneath the fictitious veneer of these sweetly, innocent episodes. It is a upright testament to her talent and very hard work that none of that was conveyed on camouflage. In my belief, this series should level-headed be enjoyed to honor her performances, for which Ms. Duke rightly received an Emmy nomination. (She is also the customary wife of astonishing actor John Astin. The couple’s son, Sean Astin, is also an actor.)
All 36 half-hour episodes and the unaired pilot are expected to be included in this DVD boxed situation, presented on six discs (to provide background material as needed, clips from the Pilot had been utilized through “flash-back” scenes describing Cathy’s arrival in the U.S.) .
Special features are expected to include interviews with cast members, plus a featurette on the series. The note was created by William Asher, who also created and produced Bewitched; and Sidney Sheldon, who created a host of thrillers but also I Dream of Jeannie in the 1960′s and Hart to Hart in the 1990′s.
In addition to Ms. Duke, the core cast included William Schallert, who played Patty’s father, Martin Lane; Jean Byron as Patty’s mother, Natalie Lane; Paul O’Keefe portrayed Patty’s sister, Ross Lane; and Eddie Applegate, who portrayed Patty’s boyfriend, Richard Harrison in 70 episodes.
Schallert has one of the longest careers in TV and also film, and remains active in his 80′s. (Incredibly, there was almost no hit TV note – in all genres – from the 60s through the 80s that he did not appear.)
The dual role played by Ms. Duke presented special effects challenges for the low-tech 60′s, as they were rarely ever obsolete in sitcoms of the day. (A VERY vital exception was the daytime gothic soap opera, Sunless Shadows.)
In each episode of this series, Ms. Duke appeared as both characters in the same frame through the consume of a split veil finish. To complement these effects, child actress Rita McLaughlin was aged as Ms. Duke’s double (almost always seen only from gradual) .
First Season episodes are: The Pilot; The French Teacher; The Genius; The Elopement; House Guest; The Birds and the Bees Bit; The Slumber Party; The Babysitters; The Conquering Hero; The President; Double Date; The Actress; How to Be Popular; The Song Writers; The Princess Cathy; Christmas Present; Auld Lang Syne; Horoscope; The Tycoons; Author! Author!; The Continental; Let ‘Em Eat Cake; Going Steady; Are Mothers People? ; The Con Artist; The Perfect Teenager; Chip Off the Used Block; The Wedding Anniversary Caper; Pen Pals; A Puny Case of Disaster; The Friendship Bit; Patty, the Foster Mother; Tumble Out; Leave it to Patty; The Diminutive Dictator; The Working Girl; and The Cousins.
“Cousins,” was the unforgettable series theme. The music was aloof by Sid Ramin, while the lyrics that stayed in your head like a causality loop, was written by Robert Wells. For those not extinct enough to have the song smooth playing in their feeble noggins, here it is:
Meet Cathy, who’s lived most everywhere,
From Zanzibar to Barclay Square.
But Patty’s only seen the sights
A girl can search for from Brooklyn Heights–
What a crazy pair!
But they’re cousins,
Identical cousins all the intention.
One pair of matching bookends,
Different as night and day.
Where Cathy adores a minuet,
The Ballet Ruses, and crepe Suzette,
Our Patty loves to rock and roll,
A hot dog makes her lose control–
What a wild duet!
Still, they’re cousins,
Identical cousins and you’ll derive,
They laugh alike, they dash alike,
At times they even talk alike–
You can lose your mind,
When cousins – are two of a kind!
Here’s hoping the remaining two seasons are posthaste released.
What an extraordinary year 2009 has been for putting THE BEST 1960′s television shows on dvd sets, and now added to this list FINALLY is “The Patty Duke Present”! Previously this year, Yell!Factory released “Peyton Location” and “Room 222″, and the quality of the film on these two sets is like night and day. I contacted Bellow! to salvage out if this “Patty Duke Note” dvd spot will be beautifully restored and super like “Peyton Site” or if it will be fuzzy and grainy like “Room 222″. Yell! said they are putting out a expedient print of “The Patty Duke Display”, and I hope “suited” means really agreeable like in Peyton Area salubrious! They would not be more specific about the quality, so we will leer when it’s released on September 29, 2009.
“The Patty Duke Display” was tailor made for oscar-winning Patty Duke to play two teenage identical cousins going through High School together in Brooklyn Heights, Recent York. Patty Duke plays Patty Lane, who lives with her newspaper editor father, Martin Lane (William Schallert), her mother Natalie Lane (Jean Byron) and her younger brother Ross Lane (Paul O’Keefe) . Patty has a exact boyfriend Richard Harrison (Eddie Applegate) . Patty’s father Martin, has a brother Kenneth Lane, who is a globe-trotting journalist, who happens to have a daughter named Cathy Lane (Patty Duke) who not only looks exactly like Patty, but is Patty’s staunch age. Cathy comes from Scotland to live with her Uncle Martin’s family in Brooklyn Heights, Unusual York. Even though Cathy and Patty spy alike, sophisticated Cathy is nothing like her cousin Patty, who is the typical American teenager in 1963.
“The Patty Duke Prove” ran for only 3 seasons from 1963 to 1966. The note featured some astronomical guest stars over these years, some of my favorites being Frankie Avalon (in this first season), Chad and Jeremy, Sammy Davis Jr., Sal Mineo, Robert Goulet, Troy Donahue and Paul Lynde (also in this first season) . Patty Duke played both cousins Patty and Cathy Lane and the technology dilapidated for Patty Duke to play 2 people on the hide at the same time, was quite veteran in 1963. They would shoot in split shroud when the cousins were together facing the camera, and you can discover the “line” where the two films are spliced together in almost every shot like this. A double was broken-down when the cousins were talking face to face, so you would contemplate Patty Duke’s face and the double’s assist of her head. In a few of these first seasons episodes, the face of the double was accidentally briefly glimpsed! Martin Lane, Patty’s father played by William Schallert, was such a well liked tv father, he was voted #39 in TV Guide’s 50 Greatest Dad’s of All Time. The show’s unaired Pilot premiered in 1963 and was plot in San Francisco, instead of Brooklyn Heights, Current York, and father Martin Lane and brother Ross Lane were played by different actors. In this unaired pilot, Trace Miller played Martin and Charles Herbert played Ross. Sadly, even though Bellow!Factory advertised everywhere that this first season would include the rare Pilot, they did not include it, and I hope this was a terrible oversight and that they hold to their word and include it in Season 2!

Shout! Factory has confirmed that they are including a nice retrospective featurette on this First Season, which is based on the trace fresh interviews they unbiased finished with the entire cast, all except for “Mom” Natalie Lane played by the gradual Jean Byron.
Shout! Factory also confirmed that the episodes are not crop up or shortened, as they are running the unusual paunchy 25 minutes per episode.
I originally watched “The Patty Duke Expose” when it premiered in 1963, and I be pleased it honest as worthy now as I did succor then! Even with the passe 1963 special effects of seeing Patty’s double’s serve of her head (and a discover of her face in this first season), and the splicing lines on the middle of the film, the demonstrate peaceful holds up today with it’s family warmth and charm. A large thank you Scream!Factory for finally putting the long-awaited and fabulous Patty Duke Indicate on dvd!

This is a gritty WWII adventure position in the Philippines before General MacArthur’s return. Standard formula has Jimmy Rodgers and Jack Nicholson sent to prefer out a Japanese communications center. Dialogue is at a minimum and the myth is told almost entirely visually. Jack Nicholson positive looks young and Jimmy Rodgers looks as though he could have made a career as an actor.

Boring movie, with very wooden actors.
Give this one a pass over, it took me 3 separate viewings to collect through the whole movie. The acting was so monotone it kept putting me to sleep.
It would be nice if they could net some movies on DVD that deserve to be there.
